Glenn and Mary Beaulieu opened The Main Pub Tavern in 1980, originally 14’ wide and 50’ in length and serving only beer as allowed with a Tavern license. Within a year, a liquor license was acquired, the building was purchased and we became The Main Pub Restaurant, expanding into the vacuum cleaner sales store and the carpet store on either side that became our lounge and dinning areas. In 1985 we purchased and tore down the lime-green Pine Hurst Grocery Store to add parking spaces, and in the 90s we added the atrium to our dinning space. Now in our 40th year of business, The Main Pub is still thriving as the longest running family owned restaurant in Manchester.
